My Background & Experience

My name is Jessica, and I am the Founder and Psychologist behind Brisbane Psychologists. As a psychology service, we work & connect with you from Meanjin (Brisbane, QLD).

My pathway into psychology has been shaped by a long‑standing interest in science, wellbeing and the ways people make meaning of their experiences. I undertook my undergraduate studies at QUT in 2007 and my Masters in Psychology (Educational & Developmental) in 2012, and I have spent the past 15 years working in settings focusing on supporting for children, teens, and young people.

At Brisbane Psychologists, the focus is on genuine care, remembering your story and offering one‑on‑one tailored support. I value creating a therapeutic environment where people feel safe, understood and guided at a pace that feels right for them, and that builds in visuals and expressive ways of healing. My approach is grounded in evidence‑based practice, neurodiversity & trauma-informed practices, and a belief in people’s capacity for growth and change when supported to leverage their strengths & find coping strategies to calm & regulate their mind & body.

My skill set is best suited to those seeking support around neurodiversity, assessment of ADHD/ ASD/ learning, anxiety and mental health, adverse childhood experiences, or NDIS supports. I would share on-referrals for other services if therapy or assessment needs fall outside my skill set (e.g., treatment of Anorexia, Schizophrenia or Psychosis, workcover or insurance/ forensic capacity assessments, Personal Injury claims, or Family Law court or court‑ordered treatment reports.
